~Class of '97~

Graduation Day means many things
To all who gather far and near,
For most... a very joyous time
For my family... it brings a tear.

To the Class of '97
We wish the best for you,
To each a successful future
In whatever you choose to do.
![]()
Follow your dreams
Pursue your careers,
Always hold memories
Of North Penn ever near.
![]()
And as you reflect
On events of the past,
Remember the girl
Whose dreams didn't last.
![]()
Remember Melissa
Each time you pray,
And know that her spirit
Is with you today.

Our family is so very proud
Of the Class of '97,
Including our beloved Melissa
As she watches us from Heaven.

(Melissa's classmates asked me to
write a poem for their yearbook.
They dedicated 2 pages in her memory,
with pictures and thoughts of her...
along with my poem.
At Graduation, the girls carried
flowers, which they placed in vases at
either end of the stage. Her poem was
read by Viki Copp, while the class
stood with bowed heads. The flowers were
later placed at her gravesite.
This group will always have my sincere
gratitude for making Melissa a part of
their "special day".
